THE RESTORATION OF THE CELESTIAL SPHERE BY PAUL MANSHIP OF THE UN PALACE IN GENEVA
For over a year the Ferdinando Marinelli Artistic Foundry has been dedicated to the restoration of Paul Manship’s Celestial Sphere Monument at the United Nations Palace in Geneva. The Opera, an Art Déco Masterpiece, is a symbol of dialogue and peace in the world, a bridge between past and present, which, in this very complicated historical period, needed even more to be restored to its former glory.
Before the Celestial Sphere was transported and repositioned in the center of the Cour d’Honneur at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, numerous Italian and international newspapers wanted to dedicate a space to this very important restoration.
Even the cameras of Uno Mattina, the historical program of RAI 1, turned on in the Foundry to tell this story of art, culture and beauty.
