THE MICHELANGELO’S PIETA IN USA

In the occasion of the exhibition “Michelangelo: The Man and the Myth,” at the SUArt Gallery of Syracuse (NY), the directorate of the University invited the Marinelli Foundry to exhibit, together with a collection of Michelangelo’s original documents, the high museum quality bronze posthumous first edition original of the famous Michelangelo’s Pieta. This needed the authorization of Casa Buonarroti in Florence whose Director checked the fidelity and museum quality of the posthumous first edition original.
