Famous American sculptor born in 1890 (died 1966), he studied in various parts of the world, such as at the Art Students League in New York, at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Brussel and that of Paris, and at the American Academy in Rome, where he became a teacher and Head of the Sculpture Department at New York Univeristy. He was president of the National Sculpture Society.
The list of his works is very long, beginning in 1930 and ending with his death in 1966. It is housed in all major museums in the United States, and has executed dozens of public monuments for the American government, including the golden horse “The Sacrifice” for the Arlington Memorial Bridge cast in the Ferdinando Marinelli Artistic Foundry.
